How Often Do I Have To Get Adjustments?
This depends on your situation and personal goals. There are three phases of care: acute care, maintenance care and wellness care.  Acute care is the initial care that you receive as a patient entering the office with a health concern. How long you’ve had your condition, how serious the condition is and many other factors determine how long it will take to heal. Usually this phase requires the patient to come in to the office a few times a week for several weeks or months. The second phase of care, maintenance, is where the true healing takes place. Once you have made it through the acute phase, we are able to allow the muscles and ligaments to change in order to support the resulting modifications. The third phase of care is wellness visits. This is for patients who want to manage the ongoing stresses that could lead to subluxations. Once you’ve invested time and money in getting well, periodic check ups can help you stay subluxation free. The frequency depends on many life factors and goals and might change as stress levels in life change. Make no mistake about it! Chiropractic is not a miracle fix. Chiropractic care is aimed at correcting a problem, which often takes time.
